Since 1986, The Paper Magic Group, Inc. has been a consumer-product affiliate of CSS Industries, Inc., a publicly–traded company that is also the corporate parent of Cleo Inc (the premier provider of seasonal gift packaging products) and Berwick Offray LLC (the world's largest manufacturer of decorative and woven ribbons and bows).

Paper Magic approaches the market as two separate divisions, each designed to focus on specific seasonal and product categories.

Paper Magic's Winter Division is headquartered in Scranton, Pennsylvania. The division's leadership in the seasonal products industry is focused on Christmas and Valentine's Day; its market–leading product lines include Paper Magic® and Pine Hollow® boxed holiday greeting cards and gift tags, holiday Color-Clings® and home décor, and classroom–exchange Valentines and Valentine's Day decor.

Paper Magic's Fall, Spring and Everyday Division is headquartered in Minneapolis, Minnesota, with additional design offices in North Hollywood and San Diego, California. The division is a leader in the creation and distribution of Halloween products, including costumes, masks, wigs, accessories and decorations; it also specializes in autumn décor, Easter merchandise (including the Dudley's® brand of Easter egg dye kits), and a variety of educational products under the Learning Playground™ and Eureka® brands.

Both Paper Magic divisions maintain large product development and creative teams; both invest significantly in consumer and product trend research. The divisions share distribution facilities in Pennsylvania; goods are manufactured in Paper Magic's domestic production facilities or produced under the company's direction in factories worldwide.

Paper Magic maintains major product showrooms in New York, Memphis, Minneapolis and Hong Kong. Product is also displayed in regional showrooms throughout the United States and Canada.
